In other news...
In other news, I'm still preparing my two entry chapters for the NOBLE Theme contest at ACFW.
I also have to revise my story for GateWay S-F again. Which is cool. Sometimes I have to wait a little before I make suggested changes, though.
Had to work on one (contest) chapter last night, and I was finally able to after my mother gave me some encouraging words about how much she had enjoyed reading it. Sometimes it is nice to have unalloyed enthusiasm from a reader, whether it is biased or not!
I also want to enter a short story into a dragon-anthology-contest. It's due by the thirty-first as well. I have the story written, but I've been putting off editing it for awhile. It's sort of young adult, so I don't know if it will be accepted.
My fantasy novel is coming along, slowly. I've written over a hundred pages (perhaps I already said that?) but I'm not rushing with it. I guess I've gotten a little bogged down, but I'm also busy with these contest entries. And I've been doing some basic fooling around.
I've read an Agatha Christie or so, a science fiction book and watched some TV lately. I recently watched a couple of episodes Beyblade. Basically it seems like Pokemon meets fighting tops.
For some reason I like kiddie shows like that. They seem... safe. Maybe I'll get sick of it soon.
I've also been watching Smallville sometimes. I like the idea of Superman-as-a-youth, but sometimes the episodes seem to all have the same plot... or maybe one of three plots. (Let's put it this way: you've got a good shot of Clark rescuing Lana at the end. If not her, then another of Clark's friends.)
