Hammett Up~

Been reading a lot of Dashiell Hammett during and since my heat exhaustion.

Yesterday I read The Dain Curse. It was good. I figured out who done it 40-50 pages from the end. But not quite the why or how.

I thought I couldn't like any of his novels better than The Glass Key, but this one... maybe. Hard to tell. It was nice and fast, and had lots of twists and turns.

Funny enough, I don't actually like his novel The Maltese Falcon, not enough to read it a second time.

It's getting really old being stuck in my room with air conditioning. I'm getting about sick of it.

I've had to put off writing that romance novel. I did the first chapter, but I'm writing it on a computer that's not in air conditioning. I prefer to keep it in that format; it's quicker than handwriting. Maybe in Fall.

I'm writing this in after dark.
