Not Much

I'm reading books to help judge a contest. (Since I don't remember the name of the contest -- I have it written down somewhere -- it can't hurt to say so here. I'm not really as absent-minded as I sound; my mother pointed out the contest to me, and we're both helping out with it, but I don't remember the name exactly.)

I'm writing several things. The story about Meri, sometimes I have to go slowly with it. The emotions in it can affect me strongly, even though it doesn't seem like a very intense story from the outside. In some ways, this story is a constant stretch. And yet I don't think it's really that great (to be perfectly honest).

My sister's birthday is soon. I haven't gotten her anything wonderful, but I did get her some gifts. I'd like to make her a card, too. Hope I remember. We're closer than we used to be. It should be an emotional card instead of a funny card, because she doesn't always know when people are joking and I don't want to do something hurtful. But I'm not so good with Emotional Cards. :(
