Writing Stuff

I'm listening to a songclip on Amazon of an oldies song. It's an odd song that makes me feel oddly tearful and happy. Both at once. I also have this idea-feeling for a story when I hear it. I'm going to write it eventually. I hope I can capture some of the feel.

I'm working on a second short story with the same female main characters, but I'm not hurrying with it.

I'm also working more on the novel I started around Christmas time. In some ways, it's not an easy write for me. But I'm determined to finish it. Probably by the end of next month, if I can stick with it. (I'm not assigning myself a deadline, though.)

I need to start working more on my contest entry -- in case it does any good and they need the rest of it finished and polished. Eek!

I wonder when I'll finally start submitting stories again. Much less getting paid for them. :)
