2006 'good things'

Here is a list of some of the good things that happened for me this year:

~Had a story show up online

~found a new, wonderful library

~finished reading first my 400th book since highschool, then my 500th

~Ray Gun Revival accepted a story of mine

~bought fruit trees

~went to a huge, yearly book sale which I love

~entered ACFW's Genesis (is it still called that?) contest (twice), and scored really well on one of 'em.

~finished my "Meri and Porse" novel (which I started Christmas Eve 2005)

~two quilts finished (actually, I'm not certain this counts, since my mom finished off their edgings as a favor to me, but it's nice to have them completed, so I'm counting that as a good thing!)


There are other good things, and of course bad things, but for today, I'd much prefer to focus on the good. After all, when I look back over this list, I see there really were a lot of good things that happened this year, and maybe it wasn't wasted after all. :)

In other news - I think I've finished my Christmas shopping, and I'm planning to get my hair cut short, something I've never really done before.
