This Month
This month I got an acceptance letter and three rejection notes. This month I worked on and entered two entries for the Noble Theme Contest. This month... I wrote a lot, I typed a lot, and I survived.
Sometimes, just that is a big deal.
I've been thinking. Most of the times in my life, I would not want to relive. It's not because there wasn't a lot I liked, (there was), but most of it, nah, I wouldn't go back. Maybe if I could change it... But I have to be honest with myself. I'm not sure I would be able to change it. Maybe a few "if only I'd known" choices, but the big things about myself? Don't know if I could change them.
Sometimes I wish that I was younger, and had somehow been able to squeeze all of my life into fewer years. (Minus a few things I'd want to skip, of course.) I'd like to have accomplished what I've accomplished at a younger age. But once again, I'm not sure I'd go back. I guess it doesn't matter since I'll never have the choice, anyway.
Oh, I also planted two rows of the garden this week. (It's a start.)
I did start that new story I was talking about. I've written nearly thirty pages, and I haven't even introduced the main friends and rivals yet. Blurg. However, some minor characters have developed themselves into funny and real characters, which is nice.
I found the "World's Strongest Boy" show on TLC rather interesting. I wonder if Richard Sandrak will get a movie deal? I'm not sure what to think about the show. But it doesn't really matter what I think about it, not really.
I tremendously enjoyed the book "Curious Notions" by Harry Turtledove. I read it in almost two days.
In my fantasy novel, I've typed almost as much as I've written. It feels strange; usually I never catch up to what I've written. In this case, it looks like I will.
I'm tying chapter eleven right now, and I'm still writing part of it.
One of the reasons I've been able to type so much is the new keyboard for the computer. I got used to it quickly, and now I can type faster and more easily.
