Sports? / exercise
You know, I enjoy watching competetive shows like Beyblade so much, I wonder if it wouldn't be good for me to get into a sport. It would be a good way to get exercise without running or walking around aimlessly looking like an idiot.
But the only sports I've played much of, bowling and volleyball, I quickly grew to dislike, dare I say hate. (I'm not counting chess as a sport, because I'm talking about physical sports. And yes, I started to hate chess, too.)
When things become confrontational, I really don't like it. I just want to get away! I also hate it if I feel like I have to do good at a sport, but can't. If it's fun on its own... but I'm not sure I've ever had a sport that stayed that way.
Not like I have the option of joining a sport team right now or anything. There are none that I know of in the area, unless they're for school kids. :)
But when I start enjoy watching competetion so much, I wonder if I shouldn't rethink the whole sport thing. I know I need more exercise. (Great, so I can feel even more tired?!) And it really gets my blood flowing to watch things like that. Boxing. Stupid top battles. Even sometimes, when we're up late on the weekend, my brothers and I tune into this show of "professional dodgeball." It's stupid, but it can be fun to watch.
I'm just wondering if I should rethink the whole anti-sports thing.
Hm... Needs more thought.
